Some Anti-Virus Concept

Some Anti-Virus concept for you.  I'm not really happy with any of them although I like how the blue ones look like they carry some sort of authority.  The rest just look like monsters and look too organic for what I'm going for.  The one at the bottom looks a bit more mechanical but I can't imagine it very well in a menacing swarm... Also, my flatmate said it looks like a man with dreads bending over... so that's that one out the window.

LizardMan Early Concept

Here are some early concepts for the LizardMan Character.  Nothing final quite just yet, just playing about with different body types/shapes.  I've gone for the humanoid type body purely because it fits the script better and I imagine it would be easier to animate.  I do wish I could've gone for a more lizard-like body though, I might still change that later on.  I'm really pleased how the colouring turned out although the colours themselves are a bit bland.  I've also added the Female Cyborg to get an idea of size too.  I might make the LizardMan a bit taller yet but thought I'd post here 1st for all my 1 followers to have a look. =)

Female Character so far.

She isn't finished yet, still debating on what bionic parts she should have before I put on the jet-pack/wings and gun-arm.  I just thought I'd post this since the main body is finished, i think..  

Other character concepts coming soon, I just need to get them into a presentable state first.

Pre 'Glitch' Concepts

Since this blog is still new and fairly bare, here are some concept drawings from photoshop I did for 'Nano I.D.' before it mutated into 'Glitch'.  The 1st picture is still kinda related with the firewall and anti-virus.  The 2 landscapes were concepts for the setting of the opening scene in Nano I.D.

I'm still working on the final designs for the characters and environment but I thought I'd upload the mood-boards to give a small idea of whats coming in the meantime. 

Female Cyborg Character (no name yet)
This female and the LizardMan character were originally meant to be staring in the overly ambitious script that shrunk and distorted into Glitch.  She was meant to be an advanced world class agent sent to disrupt LizardMan's mission.  He was a tactile barbarian sort of agent sent by his newly established tribe to either find them a place in the Human world or a means by which they can reverse their predicament. This mission was to find a solution to reverse the speeded evolution in many creatures caused by a nano-tech I.D. developed by the humans and... blah... blah... blah...  Now they are both just characters developed for a fictional game which is in it's test/beta phase.  The female is designed to be sexy yet deadly; an engineered assassin.  I thought it would be fun to create and animate over-the-top characters in an over-the-top fight sequence, however, this design is mainly because I imagine myself being more motivated modelling and animating such a character.  However, to try assure you all I'm not just a massive pervert, the LizardMan character will be tall, strong with rippling muscles... you'll just have to deal with the fact he has a reptilian head, scales and claws.
LizardMan Character (no name yet)

The environment is basically going to be a huge, blank, black expanse of simulated terrain inside a computer program.  This expanse can form any object and ignore all the laws of physics thanks to it not being real.  This leaves me still with nothing but a fancy plot device allowing me to stage my animation anywhere.  So for now, the idea is to have a simulation of an old roman amphitheatre for the fight with elements reminding the audience that this is all simulated.  Somehow I'll need to alter this so that it kinda relates more with the non-roman gladiator characters...  The images I have here just give me somewhere to start, I'll concentrate more on this once the characters are done.

Script for 'Glitch'

Right!  Now that my script and storyboard are finished-ish, I've finally decided to make a blog.  Like it says in the description, this blog is mainly for the animation for my degree, although I will post other things that are vaguely related and anything else that catches my interest.  (There are also other things I mean to post later on, such as other scripts and ideas that came before this one).  So here it is, the start of 'Glitch' production!

EDIT: I forgot to mention that this is a trailer animation for 'Glitch'.

 (Of course the script and storyboards aren't final, especially how they don't match up 100% due to changes suggested in a production meeting.  However, this will be remedied as the animation progresses.)

SCRIPT:
Black screen with dialogue,

The interface then fades and a disembodied, deep, booming voice dramatically announces,

The 2 characters then start to fight like a typical beat'em up game; a couple of punch combos from the FEMALE, a low kick then a high kick from the LIZARDMAN, followed by a jump/punch.  The FEMALE Cyborg rolls back and gets up and they both stand still.
The interface partially reappears, momentarily, with red text,

"ERROR: 'SIMULATION' IS NOT RESPONDING.
ATTEMPTING TO REGAIN CONTROL OF A.I. COMBATANTS..."

mid-range shot.  Camera zooms in as characters close in to each other.

TRACK SHOT
of Ground Fissure as it splits aiming towards FEMALE.  She jumps and flys over the crack and towards LIZARDMAN.

Long-Shot of whole scene with the characters at the focus.  After a moment, a disembodied, computerised/robotic female voice fills the enviroment speaking. 

Voice: "Warning, control of simulation lost.  Activating countermeasures.  Anti-Virus scanning.  Fire-Wall now on."

A wall of fire materialises and spews out out of thin air, encircling the 2 characters.  A horrible buzzing-swarm sound fills the air.
